The Rotorua/Taupo Branch of the NZDTA invites you to the Oral Health Conference which will be held in Rotorua on the 25th & 26th May 2012. 'Love your Teeth' is the theme for the conference, providing a programme of speakers to challenge and inform. Colgate Oral Care is proud to announce we are hosting the sixth year of our February family oral health event in conjunction with the New Zealand Dental Association and Plunket. Aimed at improving the oral health of young Kiwi kids, furnishing a brush and 1000ppm paste for a new child opens dialogue about oral health. This typically takes place at the 5 month core contact. 3 November, 2011At the up coming AGM in March 2012, the President and Secretary of the Auckland Branch of the NZDTA are going to step down. Prior to this date we need to look for nominations of two branch members to these posts. Further details can be seen in the memo calling for nominations. (Members only area). 2012 Senior Dental Leaders Course
23 August, 2011Information about the 2012 Senior Dental Leaders Course. Next year this meeting will be held in London (not Boston as it has been previously). If you or any of your colleagues would like to be considered could you please send me the following: 1. A current CV and a letter outlining their case for going (ie. how you going will help to improve children's oral health in Australia or NZ) 2. References. Colgate will pay for the course fee (which includes meals and accommodation - $10,000USD) and the candidate will fund their own travel. The application deadline will be November 4, 2011. The Taskforce members will then vote on the most suitable candidate to receive the Colgate funding. Also - please note that the next Taskforce meeting will be in Sydney on Thursday September 29. Health (BOH) from the University of Otago or for a Bachelor of Health Science endorsed in Oral Health (BHSc (OH) from AUT University. A

Pasifika Medical Association have produced an online booklet describing health occupations. Medical emergencies training
The New Zealand Red Cross has developed a medical emergencies training course for dental therapists, dental hygienists and clinical
dental technicians. The "Enhanced basic life support for dental therapists, dental hygienists and clinical dental
